Mr. Reber has more than 20 years of experience leading growth companies and startup businesses.

According to Doug Rodgers, managing partner and CEO of FOCUS, “Steve is a management consultant who specializes in assisting entrepreneurial businesses with organizational assessment, strategic, operational and financial planning, management systems for reporting and control, leadership and culture development, as well as succession planning. His vast experience will be of great benefit to our clients.”

Previously, Mr. Reber was president & CEO of Giesecke & Devrient America, Inc., a $200 million wholly owned subsidiary of a German company that prints banknotes for various countries, manufactures high-speed machines for banknote processing and develops software and smart cards for financial, security, telecommunications and transit applications.

Mr. Reber also served as president and COO of Vivid Technologies, a publicly-owned manufacturer of equipment for high-speed detection of explosives in checked baggage and cargo. He also served as president of the Macbeth Division of Kollmorgen Corporation, a global producer of instrumentation for color matching and quality control.

His prior experience includes 15 years at Perkin Elmer Corporation, a company he started. He served as a division head for process instrumentation and for the direct marketing divisions. Earlier he headed global sales and marketing for the Semiconductor Equipment Group and held a variety of positions in the instrument group.

Steve holds BS and MS degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
