Dr. Morton has more than 25 years of entrepreneurial and corporate leadership experience in all aspects of the communications industry, including wireless and wire line applications.

As co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of SkyCross, a leading antenna company serving the wireless device space, Dr. Morton led the company to multi-year high growth, achieved trusted supplier status with multiple Tier 1 customers worldwide, and identified and led the acquisition of a Shanghai, China based company. Additionally, he led and contributed to the development and market introduction of iMAT, the company’s new breakthrough smart antenna technology that has currently won four high-profile industry awards.

Prior to joining SkyCross, he was Executive in Residence with MILCOM Technologies, where he oversaw the formation of new communications companies launched with aerospace technology. In addition to SkyCross, he and his partners created and sold a mesh networking company to Motorola and formed TelASIC, a software defined wireless infrastructure (base station) product company, where Dr. Morton was the initial CEO. In the course of developing new companies, he has raised more than $70M in capital from leading venture capital firms nationwide.

Dr. Morton earned his Ph.D. in communication systems from the University of Pennsylvania where he was a national winner of the General Electric Doctoral Fellowship.
