Averil Carroll has worked with FOCUS as an associate since January 2021. She assists with the preparation of confidential information memorandums and detailed target lists that support buy-side and sell-side engagements. She works primarily with the Government & Defense team.

Averil has been the sole proprietor/owner of a research consultancy since 2003. She has over 20 years of market analysis, research and investment banking experience. Her subject matter specializations include government contracting, information technology, mergers and acquisitions, and healthcare. She previously worked at Ernst & Young and Cap Gemini and has worked with various investment banking companies including Scherer Partners, Indian River Advisors and Speedshift Advisors.

Averil is a graduate of the University of Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Health Science. In business school she was named a Matherly Scholar, which is the highest honor a student at the Warrington College of Business can receive.

Originally from Destin, Florida, Averil currently resides outside our nation’s capital in Alexandria, Virginia. She is a proud mother of 3 wonderful children. When not working, she enjoys hiking, being out of doors and spending time with family and friends.
