FOCUS Investment Banking Welcomes James Howe as Managing Director

Washington, DC (June 26, 2026) – FOCUS Investment Banking (“FOCUS”), a leading middle-market investment bank serving entrepreneurs, business owners, and investors, is pleased to announce that James Howe has joined the firm as a Managing Director.

James brings more than 25 years of experience in private capital markets, advising private equity firms, private credit managers, and alternative asset sponsors on capital formation, investor relations, and strategic fundraising initiatives. He has helped investment managers raise capital across private equity, private credit, real assets, co-investment vehicles, and special situations, working closely with institutional investors, family offices, endowments, foundations, pension plans, and other sophisticated limited partners.

He was a founder of the UBS Private Equity Placement Group and has worked both in-house with private equity firms as well as in an advisory agent capacity.

Prior to joining FOCUS, James founded and led an independent private capital advisory firm, partnering with both emerging and established investment managers on fundraising, strategic investor outreach, and capital formation initiatives. He has also held senior leadership roles in private fund advisory, investor relations, and fundraising, and is recognized as a trusted advisor within the alternative investment community.

Through his network and experience in institutional capital markets, James has helped clients navigate capital raising environments and pursue their growth objectives.

Robert is a leading Corporate Finance Advisor with a wealth of experience in Debt Fundraising and M&A. He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland. He has developed a strong reputation for financing and refinancing business and property based portfolios, working across a broad range of Corporate Finance activities. He has significant commercial experience in undertaking M&A, Business Reviews, Due Diligences and Strategic Advisory for Corporate clients. Robert has developed a large client base across a broad range of sectors throughout Ireland. Robert has experience in the Hospitality, Real Estate, Aviation and Retail sectors.
