Both authors are Massachusetts physicians–one an emergency medicine physician and assistant professor at Harvard Medical School; the other is Chief Medical Officer at Press Ganey. The article notes that “There is little doubt that algorithms will transform the thinking underlying medicine. The only question is whether this transformation will be driven by forces from within or outside the field.”
