Kahla Cooper is a senior marketing leader with more than two decades of experience building, executing, and scaling integrated marketing and communications platforms within financial services and professional services organizations. Kahla excels with her strategic vision and hands-on execution. She thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and partners closely with senior leadership to drive measurable business results.

Kahla joined FOCUS in 2021 as Director of Marketing to lead firm-wide marketing strategy and execution across multiple industry verticals. She collaborates directly with senior bankers and practice leaders to develop customized annual marketing and business development plans; balancing firm-wide brand priorities with the unique needs, goals, and personalities of individual teams.

Kahla oversees and executes campaigns across the full marketing spectrum, including content development, digital and performance marketing, social media and paid advertising. Her work consistently elevates brand visibility while supporting bankers’ origination and relationship-building efforts.

As a trusted steward of brand and reputation, Kahla plays a central role in shaping firm positioning and expanding awareness in new markets. She leads PR and communications efforts, including deal announcements, media outreach, thought leadership placement, and securing speaking opportunities for senior bankers across industry stages and publications. 

Based in Stamford, Connecticut, Kahla holds a BS from The University of Texas at Austin. 

A proud Texas native, Kahla has called Connecticut home for the past 20 years, where she lives with her husband, Gordon, and their children, Gavin and Sloane. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on her children at their sporting events, cooking and baking, and taking advantage of any opportunity to be outdoors.
