For the past 20 years, Mr. Libby was a partner with the Atlanta based CPA firm Williams, Benator & Libby, LLP, where he was responsible for all merger, acquisition and corporate finance services provided to its clients. While at Williams, Benator & Libby, he also managed the firm’s relationship with Russell Bedford International (RBI), a global network of approximately 50 accounting firms.

According to Jonathan Wilfong, Managing Partner, Southeast, of FOCUS, “Jim’s experience with numerous transactions over the years and his extensive dealings with investment bankers, law firms and CPA firms make him uniquely qualified to serve FOCUS’ client base.”

Mr. Libby began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co. where he advanced to the position of manager and was one of the founders of Libby Thomas & Braxton, LLP, which subsequently merged with Arthur Young & Co. While at Libby Thomas & Braxton, LLP, Mr. Libby was a Special Assistant to President Jimmy Carter where he was responsible for the White House Office Zero Based Budget, the Inauguration Budget, the Transition Budget and the Campaign Budget. In addition to time spent in public service, Mr. Libby also served as CEO of Peach State Distributing Co., a distributor of coin-operated video games, pinball machines and vending equipment, as well as parts and accessories.

Mr. Libby attended the University of Georgia on a football scholarship and graduated with a degree in accounting.
