Los Angeles, CA (August 6, 2013) – FOCUS, a national middle market investment banking firm providing merger, acquisition, divestiture and corporate finance services, announces that Bill Battison has joined the firm as a Managing Director in the Los Angeles office. Battison has more than 30 years of operational and transactional experience in the distribution, aerospace and defense, information technology, manufacturing and financial services industries.

Prior to joining FOCUS, Mr. Battison co-founded Angeles Capital Group, a FINRA licensed investment bank. He was President and CEO of two Internet companies: RXN Radio, a startup in the interactive radio and telematics arena, and BuyItNow, Inc., a $90+ million revenue e-commerce venture.
Previously, he was EVP of Valence Technologies (VLNC), a developer of high tech energy solutions and EVP and COO of Iwerks Entertainment (IWRK), where he was responsible for strategic alliances and acquisitions. He spent 9 years as President and CFO of Westwood One, Inc. (WWON), the largest radio network in the US at the time, and was also President and CEO of the NBC Radio Networks. Mr. Battison was with ABC in New York for 5 years as SVP Finance and was responsible for leading the conversion of the radio network industry to satellite distribution. Prior to ABC, he was a Management Consultant in the Technology Management Group of Booz Allen & Hamilton, working in New York and London.
Bill has a B.A. from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the Darden Graduate Business School, University of Virginia. He is currently on the board of several private and public companies in the technology, entertainment and healthcare fields. He is a director emeritus of the Pasadena Angels, an investment group.
