Washington, DC (October 16, 2012) – FOCUS LLC, a national middle market investment banking firm providing merger, acquisition, divestiture and corporate finance services, announces that Adam Crutchfield has joined FOCUS as a Principal in the MidAtlantic region.

Mr. Crutchfield has investment banking experience across a range of industrial technology spaces, with particular concentration in government, aerospace and defense. An active member of relevant industry associations, he is well-known in the aerospace and defense technology community and brings a deep industry network and recognized thought leadership on the impact of supply chain and market trends on M&A valuations to FOCUS.

According to Doug Rodgers, FOCUS CEO and Partner, “Adam’s years of concentration on the origination and execution of commercial aerospace and defense technology M&A and capital raise engagements will serve our client base well.”

Prior to joining FOCUS, Mr. Crutchfield was a Vice President at HighBank Advisors, a boutique investment bank in Baltimore, MD. There, as head of the firm’s Aerospace Investment Banking practice, he was responsible for the origination and execution of M&A, capital formation and strategy advisory engagements in the aerospace & defense electronics markets. Prior to that, Mr. Crutchfield was an associate with HighBank and an analyst with the McLean Group, an aerospace & defense boutique investment bank in Northern Virginia.

Mr. Crutchfield received a B.S. in Economics and Commerce from Hampden-Sydney College, where he was a William Boinest Scholar for innovation in mathematical finance. He has authored several papers that develop novel, algorithm-based equity and derivative valuation frameworks, including Forecasting and Valuation under Cash Flow Risk in 2008. In addition, Mr. Crutchfield is a novice pilot-in-training and an amateur designer and builder of micro unmanned aerial systems (UAS).
