Bob Lipton brings over 30 years of diverse business experience in private equity M&A, law firm M&A, consulting and staffing, providing him with a broad understanding of the key drivers of successful M&A transactions. At FOCUS, Bob draws upon deep industry knowledge, hands-on experience and his extensive network of financial intermediaries to help clients navigate complex deals, secure strategic investments, and create value in both buy-side and sell-side transactions.
Bob most recently served as Managing Director of Business Development at Cave Creek Capital Management, a lower middle-market independent financial sponsor where he led the firm’s business development efforts, focusing on investments in companies with $3 million to $10 million in adjusted EBITDA and enterprise values ranging from $25 million to $100 million. He was responsible for sourcing and executing on investment opportunities in a broad range of industries, with a particular focus on companies in Human Capital Management Industry verticals.
Prior to joining Cave Creek Capital, Bob was the founder and operator of Lipton Associates, a law firm consulting and staffing firm with offices in New York and Chicago for over 25 years. His firm provided strategic advisory services to major international law firms on acquisitions, as well as contract attorneys for specialized projects, managed document review and eDiscovery services. Bob was one of the founders and member of the board of directors of the National Association of Legal Search Consultants (NALSC).
He was also a volunteer mediator for the Chicago Center for Conflict Resolution, CCR, providing pro-bono mediation services to Chicago-land residents, in family courts and landlord/tenant courts throughout Cook County, Illinois. He was also CCR’s Chair of the recruiting committee for the Volunteer Council.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College, City University of New York. He is also a certified Mediator in the State of Illinois.
