Roland Oliver is the Chairman and President of Monumental Venture Partners, LLC, the General Partner to MVP America, LP, an early stage venture capital fund. Previously he served as Chairman and President of Monumental Ventures Suisse, SA, a Geneva based registered Swiss investment advisor and private equity firm, and as a founder and Managing Director of Leveraged Green Energy, LP, a renewable energy fund focused on infrastructure investments in Eastern Europe. Mr. Oliver currently serves as a member of the Investment Committee at Lynchburg College. From 2006 to 2008, he served as the Chairman for the Investment Committee and also served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Lynchburg College. In addition, he served on the Board of Directors of Gleaning for the World, an international humanitarian relief organization. Mr. Oliver currently serves on the Board of Directors of Digital Sandbox, one of MVP America’s portfolio companies. In addition, Mr. Oliver served on the board of Telverse Communications, Inc., through its acquisition by Level 3 Communications, Inc., and directed MVP America’s investment in Cinea through its acquisition by Dolby Laboratories in 2003.
Mr. Oliver attended Lynchburg College, and the University of Virginia, and has lectured at George Mason University on strategic planning for emerging companies. Mr. Oliver has completed executive development programs at the University of Kansas and Oxford University, and in 2006 he completed the Endowment Institute program at the Yale School of Management.
